The ICB Gait & Posture Clinics specialise in biomechanical assessment of the lower limbs. Their job is to explore wholistically the relationship between pain and the skeletal and muscular structure of the body from the feet up.

They specialise in treating children, dancers and the aged,
but of course all are welcome.

Latin / Ballroom / Ceroc / Bridal Sample Catalogue

We at Dancing Shoes Australia allow you, our customer, to have your shoes tailor made to your own personal specifications (at no extra cost for most style variations).

By mixing and matching the available styles, instep strap designs, colours, patent and metallic finishes, heel and sole types, width fittings, T - Bars (or no), diamante and sparkle trims - you will be able to enhance your own personal dancing experience, using footwear that has been created just for you. You choose.

You may or may not be aware that many people have one foot that is different is some way to the other, either in girth or length. We can cater for this, by making the left shoe a different size to the right.

LADIES WIDTH FITTINGS
Ladies sizes are currently available between sizes US 5 and 11 and in widths A, B, C, D, E.
There is a surcharge of $25AUD for E width fittings due to the extra labour during manufacturing.

LADIES SOLE MATERIALS
We have 4 sole materials for ladies footwear :
High quality chrome-split suede leather, smooth leather, street resin and Topy non-slip.
Smooth leather and Topy are an extra charge.

Suede leather is the traditional Ballroom sole material and can only be used indoors.
Smooth leather can be too slippery, so we rarely sell this sole material to dancers.
Street resin is now our biggest selling sole material because it can be worn outdoors, it's flexible,
hard wearing, allows spinning and it means you don't have to take two pairs of shoes when you go
out dancing. the feedback I have hade from studio owners and instructors is that it is a bit slippery when new but this changes the more you wear it. After you've worn it a while it appears to get closer to the suede sole.
Topy non-slip, is just that -- non-slip. This means it's only suitable for those dancing on very slippery floors, eg. some wooden dance floors.

Please note dancing on the tacky drink spilled floors at some clubs can ruin suede soles. Better to get the resin sole if this is a problem. Also never dance on any abrasive surface such as concrete, asphalt or stone pavers as they WILL ruin all types of shoe soles extremely quickly regardless of sole type or shoe brand.

LADIES STRAP TYPES
We have 6 strap variations for ladies shoes.

Plain Instep Strap -- imagine the style LATIN opposite without the T-Bar.
Plain Instep Strap with Plain T-Bar -- the same as the style LATIN opposite.
Plain Instep Strap with Diamantes on T-Bar
Plain Arch Strap -- as on styles SAN REMO and NEW YORK opposite.
Wing Arch Strap -- Similar to SAN REMO and NEW YORK opposite, but there is no loop at the back with the straps being attached to the back part of the shoe as per the Instep strap, then going underneath the shoe.

This Wing Arch Strap has largely taken over from the Plain Arch Strap as it fits better and is more comfortable.
Wing Crossover Strap -- Same as Natoli opposite

COLOURS

The most popular colour of course is Black leather by a large margin.
Most black Prodance shoe uppers are made from the superior Kangaroo leather which has much better wear charactaristics than any other black leathers. Also the colour goes right through the leather.

Prodance dance shoes may be made up in a wide assortment of popular colours.

Secondary colours tend to be mostly Pewter, Pearl Beige [pale taupe], Silver, and Platinum [pale gold], Burgundy Patent, Brown baby croc print patent [looks fantasic on both ladies and men's shoes],
Red leather, Caramel [in no particular order].

Most dancers wanting a neutral skin type colour tend to buy either Caramel or Pewter.
Our number two colour, Pewter, makes a great dressy neutral colour for those that that want a colour to go out in, other than Black. Pewter is usually sold in either San Remo or Natoli.

Please note, we do not do any shoes in satin as satin is an upper material that marks easily and wears very badly.

The style New York can only be ordered in three combination colours for the front:
Black/Black Glitter, Silver/Silver Glitter, Platinum/Gold Glitter.

Bridal shoes are mostly White, White Pearl, Ivory Pearl, Porcelain[beige] and Silver, but of course can be made up in any available colour.

Other colours are available. Sample swatches may be viewed in our showroom.

SPECIAL EDITION SHOES
Silver, Black and Gold Glitter covering the heels and backs of shoes are options that can be used for
the styles San Remo, New York and Natoli. This treatment may be done with or without T-Bars.
There is also a $25AUD surcharge per pair for all Special Edition Shoes.

SUPADANCE --- PRODANCE DANCE SHOES SIZE EQUIVALENTS.
Please note, we do NOT sell SUPADANCE dance shoes. Our brand name is PRODANCE.
No one else sells Prodance labelled dance shoes except us.

But, for your convenience though, approximate size equivalents are as follows:

LADIES
Supadance Ladies' footwear are sized in length in UK sizes while Prodance is in US sizes.
This means for example a Supadance UK 4.0 = Prodance US 6.0 [approximately up 2 sizes]
Supadance ladies' Regular width = Prodance B width
Supadance ladies' Wide width = Prodance C width

MENS
Both Supadance and Prodance are sized in length in UK sizes.
Supadance men's Regular width = Prodance F width
Supadance men's Wide width = Prodance G width

SOLE and HEEL REPAIRS
Most shoe repairs do not stock the correct resin and suede sole materials we use for our Prodance Dance Shoes. Should you require your shoes to be resoled, you should ask for the following - and accept no substitutes, as you probably will not be happy with the result. Always obtain a quote first and do dot bother with a re-sole unless the shoes are in very good condition.
RESIN SOLE - Ask for 2.5mm Black or Beige Resin
. Do NOT go thicker as the sole will be too heavy and rigid.
Do NOT get TOPY NON-SLIP or similar materials for obvious reasons.

SUEDE SOLE - Ask for 1.2mm Chrome Split Suede in pale grey or black.
SMOOTH LEATHER SOLE - make sure the leather is no thicker than your worn sole.
LADIES HEEL TOP PIECES - Ask for Topy or Vulco Smooth top pieces for repairing the heel tips. This is a special hard type of rubber used for this purpose. Never ever buy smooth hard plastic top pieces which can be very slippery, not to be confused with a new type of heel tip that looks similar but is made from Polyurethane.
